.ha.ha.I.bet.im.warmer.than.you...

sorry, I couldnt help myself.

I just got into Naska...its 2 in the afternoon...and about 40 degrees .Celcius. out. um, almost too hot..ALMOST. haha

let me tell you about Lima. I really didnt like it... to to be perfectly honest it was huge...there were talking millions of people...the only reason I LOVED it...is because I got to see the Lima Temple!

it was really a very pretty temple. very small, few people working, but totally peacefull. I got that verymuch needed comfort...and I need it quite often lately, im glad I can find a place to just sit on the grass and think...thats safe.

I had the amazing oppertunity to meet Brother and Sister Drake...remember the Fitch´s from the Guyaquill temple?? this is her sister and brother in law, hes the mission doctor in Lima. small world eh? they are an AMAZING couple...such a blessing, again, to meet them...that family is amazing. they took me for dinner and we had some great talks about life, and family. (they have someone they want me to meet when I get back...ha ha) anyways..after dinner we walked to the clinic and Dr Drake perscribed me medicine for my Salmonella poisoning, and for various sicknesses he thinks I have picked up...during dinner he goes, ¨eat up! you could be eating for 10000 friends in your stomach right now!¨...booo...haha...im feeling a lot better already a couple days later. .thumbs.up!.

I spend a day and half right there by the temple, but decided to move on yesterday (I have to be in Buenas Aires to meet my family on the 27th! im SO.EXCITED!) BUT that means i really need to get a move on!

.get.this.

while I was walking over to the bus terminal I stubbed my toe on the side walk...really, I did this last time I was in Ecuador, a few years ago, but this time it was hilarious...I stumbled...grumbled and kept walking...then I look behind me and see a .BRIGHT.RED. trail of blood behind me...I look down and my foot is litterally DRIPPING blood. my shoe was covered.... its funny to me because the night before I was going thru my bag and deciding what I needed to keep or throw to lighten my load...the first aid kit I packed was in my -.maybe. throw it- pile.

I kept it....thank goodness!

I stepped off the sidewalk and sat in the grass to patch myself up...I got some serious looks...it was pretty funny actually. I patched up and continues across the city, .pictures.to.follow. !!

I stayed in a cute little hostal near the station last night with a climbing wall! my toe was hurt so I could only climb a little, but it was really fun, im hoping to pick it back up when I get home?

7 this morning I hopped on a bus and now im in Naska! a sun-bleached little village in the middle of nowhere! haha its a DESERT! 40 degrees right now...and im COOKING. but...not Jealous of anyone in calgary quite yet...I accidentally left my sweater in Lima...im not regretting it now, but maybe I will...lol

tonight I hop a night bus to Arequipa and then he journey continues...

.x.x.!

Hey Rachel. I've hit a bit of a stumbling block with the toys, so it won't be for Christmas, but it will still get there. I'm in the middle of finding everything I need to throw it all together. I wish I had thought of this earlier so those kids COULD have something for Christmas, but I suppose we should do things like this all year round, so they will just have to love the stuff on a non-Christmas day. Which I know they will.

As for who I am. That's not important.
