.response.?.donde.esta.el.¿.baño.?.

okay.okay.okay.

so.im.crazy.

this blog should answer most of the hilarious comments on my last one. regarding Hija...if you didnt leave one, its just an FYI! but look below this paragraph to read about my day...and my baño issues...

Hija. my puppy. I bought her in a market and took her to the vet right away. she got a thermometer up her butt and a health certificate from the vet. he told me to get her first vaccinations in a week when she has settled down. I can cross into Blovia and Argentina with her just fine with the health certificate I got from the vet.
the next thing I did was went BACK to the market and bought a few baby essentials...really you guys, she is a BABY. she sheeps probably 17 hours a day...lol so I bought a bag big enough for a blanket, teddy, camera ect and of course...Hija! she loves it, since she is a baby, she hates bieng alone, so bieng tucked into my bag makes her feel safe....whenever I put her down she cries, but we´ll work on that, she cant even really walk yet, so really im just trying to get her healthy right now.
in true Peruvian form, they dont have puppy formula here...I bought a baby bottle and some special lactose free milk for babies...she drinks it sometimes...I think its important for the vitamins she didnt get from her mamma...I also give her rice...her teeth are coming in a little...but she really doesnt have any, she really likes chewing on soft chicken flavored rice...and there is TONS of that here...haha I put it in a little soap dish that closes (for travelling?) and bust it out when were relaxing in a park or something...
as for getting the babe back to Canada, I did my homework. im not quite as impulsive as everyone..knows I am...haha. to get a puppy, less than 3 months old back to canada, you need a health certificate, and, since argentina isnt denoted a rabies free country by Canada, she needs her raibies shot. then I can put her in a kennel in the cabin under my seat on the plane home and take her to the north pole...I mean Canada...to freeze her peruvian bum off....hahaha does that explain everything okay? I know it wasnt the SMARTEST thing I have ever done...right now im in an internet cafe with my bag on my lap and my puppy inside sleeping like the baby she is...
now let me tell you about my day!!!

...this morning we woke up nice and early and had breakfast with Thomas at his house in Arequipa...he has a dog that has puppies about the same age as hija...but like, lab size...much bigger...anyways, I took Hija out into the grass to pee, and the mother of toms puppies ran over and grabber Hija by the head and started shaking her...I.FREAKED.OUT! I grabbed the mother by her scruff and shook her untill she let Hija go, when she dropped her, Hija fell down about 4 stairs...and man, I have NEVER heard such a sound...it sounded like we were burning her alive. she was really just scared...I picked her up and had to hold her and cuddle her for an hour before she stopped crying. she wasnt hurt...but even when she was sleeping she would wince and now when you suprise her she yells like a banchii!!
anyways, after the drama I said a final goodbye to my good friend Thomas and went to the bus stop for a 6 hour bus ride to Puno!! I wasnt sure how this was going to go...

but it was great...I had a blanket on my lap, and mi Hija just slept alot of the ride...when she was awake she just crawled around my lap a little...it was .SO.CUTE. her favorite thing is lying in my arms like a baby with her belly up so i can rub it untill she falls asleep. wierd right? it got the point where she would crawl up, the best she could into my arms...then roll over and instantly fall asleep... people were teasing me because I had this little puppy cuddled like a baby belly up and feet tucked in...in my arms...and she was snoring!
the ride was fun actually, I was the only white girl on the bus, of course...I got on the most GHETTO.BUS...it was a riot. the lady beside me...an indian woman, offered me a bun...I took it gratefully, then she pulled out this meat to put on it...it looked WAY.GROSS. but I didnt want to offend, so I took the meat and ate the sandwich...I go...what is this? and she says... es queso de chancho.... um, translate that...pig...cheese? come to think of it, it looked like pig fat in slices...hahaha...GROSS....then, to continue the excellent experience we pulled over so people could pee...GREAT. I really had to pee...

but where was the bathroom??

then I noticed the women running out into a field into ditches and behind buildings and squatting to pee... considering how many eyes were on me for bieng WHITE...I decided to hold it.

now im in Puno...tomorrow im going to explore the islands on lake titticaca with my perra, Hija...all is well. im happy im here...thanks to everyone for the congrats on my new addition! haha

.x.x.

what an exciting trip...and with Hija none the less...

you'll have to tell me all about it when you get back. it's a place that chris and i have on our list to visit sooner rather than later...

hhaha, what? you couldn't pee in the bush!? I can TOTALLY relate, though-- I was taken to a public bath when I was in Japan. Being the only white chick there, it was scary knowing EVERYONE was looking at me to 'check' if the plumbing was the same! uhhh, uncomfortable much!?

Glad to hear Hija has no problems getting 'home' here.

When you get home you should ask my dad about buses on his mission. Same thing with people peeing on the side of the road. really quite funny. stay safe, love you puppy, wear sunscreen.

I figured you have thought things out since you wouldn't want to leave the poor scruff there when you had to head home.
