wow.wow.wow.

so here I am, hostel revolution, old town, Quito Ecuador. 1:30am...WOW. I got on a plane at 7 this morning and flew from Calgary to Huston, everything went well, heck, I even got into Huston EARLY. too good to be true? thats what I was cursing to myself as I finally got onto my 3:30 flight to Quito...thats actually left at about 7. when I booked my hostel, I said I would be there at around 10:30 so If they would wait up till then it would be great, I didn't put any money down on my room, I just said I would be there. so when I flew into Quito at 1am...I didn't want to take a shady taxi all the way to a place that I didn't even know, to meet someone who might not even be waiting up for me! LUCKILY. .
I.MET.RUTH.
Ruth was traveling to Ecuador to bring wheelchairs, blankets, clothes and shoes to a foundation, and she was just as worried as I was that the person who was going to pick her up at the airport wouldn't wait for her. so we devised a plan of how to get to our houses if nobody was there. she spoke almost NO Spanish, so was very grateful as I helped her around the airport with her wheelchairs explaining to people why we had so many lol. (surprise! my Spanish is actually flowing back very easily, which is good because the girl who just checked me into my hostel doesn't speak a lick of English. ha ha but the hostel is beautiful, and quiet...and .A.BED.!)

SO we got into the airport, and bless my heart, he was there to pick her up, and graciously gave me a ride to my hostel, very sweet, and A LOT safer than a cab. now here I am. tomorrow is my first day in Quito Ecuador, and

I.CANT.WAIT.TO.SEE.
