-LATACUNGA.

I mostly wandered in Latacunga, it was my base camp for the Saquisili Market...I met this little chicka (see last post)

This woman was herding her cattle thru the streets to different patches of grass so they could feed. she was sweet...but like, beating the trash out of these poor cows with that little stick! haha

up onto the street and .away!.

these photos are from the Saquisili market. I made friends with some photographers from Spain and we just wandered and took photos, I got some beauties!

the animal market

I loved her outfit! hopefully I can dress like that some day lol

the champa market! im so bad at bartering with these people...but getting better!

on looker

ha ha I love this kid...nobody knew I was taking a photo but him with his little frozen goodie

she is trying to put the plastic wrap over his cloth diaper...but he is NOT happy about it!

peeling onions

I.will. CARRY MY BABIES LIKE THIS! haha these women are like ox! they carry everything!

.THE.GUYAQUIL.TEMPLE!

los Johnsons! they had me over for dinner while I was at the temple. i will get a photo up of the other family los Fitchs as well...they were like my parents while I was at the temple...it was SO NICE.

after I left the temple ground I stayed in hostal DREAMKAPTURE! a cool hostal with monkeys and birds ( you can see a bird cage to the right of my room...those green parrots woke me up .EVERY.MORNING. at like 5)

a .TINY. teacup monkey at my hostal! this little bud tried to eat my finger...not funny. my bed! (cheezy, I know)

more of the hostal, it was really cool, run by a french Canadian and her husband from Ecuador

moving on, the day I left Guyaquil it was over 40 degres celcius...NOT.FUN. I spent the day in town looking around with a friend from the hostal, then hoppef a bus for a 4 hour ride to Cuenca!!! im here now. waiting to go meet with the Rosaros - a family that takes care of the volenteers and heads up the orphanage here in Cuenca...im here...i have waited to be here for years...litterally years, and I thought I would never get back...but im here, with a backpack, and a camera...and .so.much.excitement!.
