.woah.

so most people close to me know... I got to go to the OSSO orphanage today, and see the kids that I have been missing since the moment I left 3 years ago... I walked into the doors and everyone looked the same! it was lunch, so they were getting ready to eat...ha ha here are the photos I have been waiting to take forever! I think they all explain the kids pretty well...


mamma .Laura. - laughing as sweetly as ever, Laura called me mommy the whole time I was there today, we read and cuddled and she bossed the other kids around she is SO SMART this girl. I LOVE HER. - Laura has fetal alchahol syndrome, but her schooling is going well, she still cannot walk, but tries very hard and still knows a lot of sign language!.JORGE. - anyone who knows him knows he loves to .EAT! - well, he was really hungry before lunch... ha ha fyi for old volenteers...he doesnt suck on his hands anymore! but he still pulls hair like a beast! haha for those who dont know Jorge, he has cerbral palsy... he is a charachter..here he is eationg the table...suprised?
.Blanca. - still shakin´that tamborine!!! he is not feeling too well lately so she just kind of chilled. but shes getting older...shes almost 20! and as beautifull as ever.


.Luis. - okay, anyone who knows this kid...is ANYONE suprised that hes grabbing the camera? I think this is the perfect picture of Luis, that cheeky smile and the fingers all over the camera...Luis is autistic, and I swear, he doesnt speak, but he is absolutely brilliant

Roman. - is 21! can you beleive it! he is happier than ever tho...he ate my shoe lace when I left my sneaks unnatended...my bad, I really knew that would happen...I had an amazing toothbrush fight with him after lunch. haha I really missed putting this big guy in a headlock so I could brush those teeth till they shined!


.Pablo. - pabs is 18 now, still hasnt grown...still sick...but he smiled and laughed a lot of the afternoon. he has a feeding tube now, so he eats a little easier. I love this kid, he is the closest to an angel I have ever been...

.Bryan!. - if i didnt know any better, I would say he remembered me...crazy, this kid is like an elaphant. he has a lot of his adult teeth now, so that HUGE smile? its even bigger now! I love it!! hee laughed and danced with us from his wheelchair all afternoon, smiling away. it was magic!

and one more,

when I walked in, I had been sick all morning.
you guys, I got to see my sweet little (well, not so little anymore) my baby angel Vanessa. I have thought about this girl non stop since I left her sitting alone the last day I was in Ecuador. I wanted her with me on the plane, I wanted her with me when I was home..but as the years passed, the intensity changed...but not the love...I had to grow up. every relationship I have been in, I have wanted adoption to be a serious option. not alot of people can understand having motherly love for a child that isnt your flesh and blood. but when I walked up behind that little girl, and said ¨hola...Vanessa?¨ when that baby whipped her head around, I felt instantly the love a mother has for a child... this is my little girl Vanessa. she is now 7 years old. she has been in to see a nurologist...but all they can tell me ( a doctor from south america, big suprise) is that, well, half of her brain doesnt work...half of her body, doesnt work. but they cant figure out why she isnt doing things she SHOULD be able to do with the other side of her brain. Vanessa was sickly abused when she was a baby, up until she was four...and came to us at OSSO...came to me... THIS.IS.MY.BABY.GIRL.


when I started singing ¨I am a child of god¨to her, she stopped squirming around and focused... when Vanessa first came to us, she had seizures...a LOT of them....3 to 4 a day, and then she would cry herself to sleep when she came out of them, I would take her to the back, and sing that song to her until she relaxed. I cant sit through that song anymore..it makes me cry still.she does this thing with her mouth right now...ha ha I cant explain it...or type it for that matter, but you can maybe see from the pictures? its really cute....

PLEASE....excuse the fact that my face is burnt to a crisp...its brutal here...because even if the sun is barely out...its SO.CLOSE.TO.YOU! - ha ha my side note



so this is my livelyhood... I feel like this litte girl has been a part of me for so long... I have cried over photos, and missed her, talked about her, and thought about her for years, im so glad im here right now. im going back tomorrow, and I couldnt wish for anything better than to see all of those kids again...

I have to head to my hostal, but I know people have been waiting for this post, I will post again in the morning!
